Preschool Dance classes

Our Preschool range of classes offer age appropriate introduction to Dance.  In the classes, children have the opportunity to explore their creativity, imagination and self-expression while learning and developing the skills that are the building blocks for dance and movement. Classes are designed to be a fun source of exercise and a creative outlet while improving self-esteem and self-expression.

Classes available:

Creative Movement - 3 years by the 1st of January each year

Tiny Tots – 4-5 and not attending Prep  

Beginners Ballet – attending Prep

Children’s Classes

The Royal Academy of Dance syllabus ensures students learn the skills that underpin secure ballet technique, including core stability, weight placement, turnout and line, while continuing to nurture and encourage artistry and dynamic movement.

Vocational Graded Syllabus

The Royal Academy of Dance Vocation Graded syllabus classes challenge and inspire dancers technically, artistically, musically and creatively with exercises that encourage critical thinking and physical fitness while also developing a sense of theatre, movement dynamics and musical interpretation. 

Experience is required to undertake ballet classes at this level is highly desirable.

Adult Classes – Ballet and Tap

We have a range of Adult Ballet Classes available for both beginners and more experienced dancers.  Ballet is a great way to develop and main core strength and increase general fitness as Adult classes are designed to be a fun source of exercise and a creative outlet while improving self-esteem and self-expression.

We also have a full range of tap classes for Adults.  We offer a range of classes combining old and modern tap styles as seen in major Broadway musicals. Tap dancing really works your whole body, while simultaneously giving you a full cardiovascular workout with every class. Tap has also been proven to improve memory and focus in Adults. old and modern Tap styles

Tap

From the days of Fred Astaire and Gene Kelly to the rhythms of The Tap Dogs and beyond, tap has been an integral and ever-evolving part of the dance landscape.  Our Tap lessons allows students to explore rhythm and musicality whilst learning the basics of tap dance in a fun environment.

Jazz Hop (Jazz / Hip Hop Fusion)

Combining technical aspects of jazz dance with modern hip hop elements, this class sees students explore the style of dance used in present-day video clips, movies and on dance floors everywhere, while always keeping within the bounds of what's age-appropriate for our young dancers! 

Broadway Jazz

Broadway Jazz offers a jazz technique warm up followed by routines similar to those you would see in some of the Tony Award winning Broadway Musical throughout the years.

Gotta Tap!

Building on previous Tap experience Gotta Tap! is a Broadway inspired classes for Adult students.  

Contemporary

Contemporary borrows techniques from Jazz, Ballet, Lyrical and Modern dance.  It is an expressive dance form with a free, artistic and creative feel.  Contemporary routines encompass floor work, centering, alignment, gravity, contraction, release and suspensions exercises.  Dancers will usually perform with bare feet.
